The Fassifern Guardian & Tribune signed up to our Starter plan to get their first digital newsroom off the ground after 118 years of being print-only.
The Starter package provided all the tools and support to allow this third-generation family-owned newspaper to boldly revamp their publishing model. Based in Boonah, 88km south-west of Brisbane, the new web presence has seen The Guardian & Tribune not only reach more readers in the immediate area but grow audiences into neighbouring districts.
How we helped
In 2019, Pagemasters was engaged to build a news website powered by the Publish platform. Working closely with the digital editor, the site was designed to showcase the publisher’s stunning photography and as a vehicle to promote both the company’s print and online services. Our experienced project team helped The Guardian & Tribune formulate a premium content strategy intended to grow the digital arm of the business in a measured way.
The site now averages more than 50,000 page views a month – a great return for a local paywalled news site – while print circulation continues to increase.
Package features include:
- Paywall – freemium and paid plans
- Asset manager
- Ad manager
- MailChimp integration
- Event calendar
- Training and support
